My daughters 02 Hyundai Accent would not shift into reverse the high end sensor had gone out from what I was told but it had to go to a transmission shop to be repaired and Atlas was close to home and recommended. They diagnosed the car as needing a sun shell, a high end gear and the sensor. Being a single mother I don't know a lot about cars but they gave me time to research their findings and the research I had done verified the information provided by Larry. So I had the transmission rebuilt with a 2yr warranty. The car had been driven in the northern states a lot of rust underneath so while putting the car thru the final inspection one of the brake lines snapped in half and they staff rebuilt the brake line and told me to have it checked since they don't do brakes but they could not let the car leave their shop in that condition. The line is perfect they also wanted to inspect in 2 weeks or 500 miles. Everything was running fine but they were not happy with how it was starting and they worked on tat at no charge to get it to thier standards and they are a very caring and informative staff. My daughter spoke to the staff serveral times and they were patient and explained things to her so she. Old understand what they were doing and why. I would recommend Atlas Transmission in Sumter to anyone with transmission issues you leave there with confidence that the job was done right. The smile on my daughters face to have her car back is priceless. Wish I had known they offer a military discount since she has a dependent ID. GREAT SERVICE!
